Bethany Martin: An Author's Relationship with Independent Bookstores, June 8, 2024, at 1pm
Updated: Nov 19, 2024

You’ve done the hard work of writing a book and you have a dream of seeing it on the shelf in your local bookstore. How does that happen? How many copies can you expect to sell? How will people find it there? Bethany Martin, manager at Faith & Life Bookstore, will be with us on June 8 to talk to us about connecting with independent bookstores to help spread the word about your book–and how you can work together to find new readers.
Bethany is an avid reader who accidentally turned her love of books and a part-time job into a career when she became the manager at Faith & Life Bookstore in Newton, Kansas in 2010. When not at the bookstore (which isn't often), Bethany can be found, not-surprisingly, with a novel in hand and has recently discovered audio books as well. She lives in Hesston, Kansas with her husband and has 4 children and 1 brand new son-in-law.
We will be meeting in person at the Bonner Springs Public Library, but if you cannot make it or would prefer to join online, email us at kcwestwriters@gmail.com for a Zoom link!
